Energy Star Labeling Program Requires Third Party Certification
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) is modifying testing and verification program
for all ENERGY STAR product labeling program away from self-certification, requiring third-party
certification in an EPA-recognized lab. This will include qualification testing prior to product
labeling as well as post-market verification testing to ensure the product continues to meet
program requirements. Test data will be reviewed and certified by third-party certification bodies

Newave Reports Solid Results for the First Six Month of 2010
Newave Energy, a Swiss UPS company, reports consolidated net sales of CHF 39.0 million in the
first half of 2010, about 1.4% growth compared to last year. Sales grew by 22% in Asia and 24%
in Eastern Europe, with slight change in Western Europe, and 29% decline in Switzerland. Western
Europe contributed 64% of gross sales, Eastern Europe 7%, Switzerland 14% other areas and
particularly South America and South Asia represent 15% of sales. Financial results show gross
