Emerson Raises its Offer for Chloride to $ 1.5 Billion.
initial offer of  £723 million in April, which was  rejected by  Chloride , ABB offered £864 million  
which Chloride's board of directors recommended to accept. Emerson now stated that it is ready
to increase its offer to 375 pence per share totaling £997 million. Emerson expects annual savings
of at least 33 million pounds with Chloride combination.

H.M. Cragg Becomes Master Distributor for Eaton Powerware Products
H.M. Cragg Co.Minnesota -based provider of  power solutions including Uninterruptible Power
Systems (UPS), announced becoming Master Distributor for Eaton Powerware  UPS Products in
the range of  300VA to 18kVA single phase , and 10kVA to 30kVA three phase  The agreement
enables H.M. Cragg to distribute Eaton UPS products to resellers.

Sony Presents 1.2kWh- Lithium-ion UPS Backup Batteries.
Sony announces development of an energy storage module using lithium-ion rechargeable batteries
made with olivine-type lithium iron phosphate as the cathode material. The storage 2U, 19",  
51.2 V 1.2kW,  17kg  battery module, features 2.5kW maximum power, 10 Year lifetime,
excellent thermal stability, parallel or serial module connection, high battery efficiency, and built-in
self-monitoring function to detect any abnormalities within the module

Active Power Gets Multi Million Dollar UPS Order
Active Power, a manufacturer of Flywheel backup power and UPS systems, reports  receiving
"multimillion" dollar order from an un-named, Internet search engine provider. The deal covers
nearly 13 megawatts of total rated UPS capacity. According to the company it is the third order
from the same customer in less than three years.

Tripplite Introduces New PDUs Providing Hot Swap UPS Maintenance
Tripp Lite, has introduces a line of Hot-Swap 10A to 30A Power Distribution Units, which include
a manual transfer switch that enables the load to be shifted from the UPS to direct primary power
enabling to remove standard plug-in UPS systems for maintenance or replacement without
interrupting power to the connected load. The PDU's feature dual input power, 2U rack mount
installation compatible with UPS systems up to 3kVA.

Chloride Agrees to Be Bought by ABB for $ 1.3 Billion
The board of directors of Chloride Power, a major UK based UPS manufacturer and secure
service provider, which rejected previous 275 pence a share offered in April 2010 by Emerson
Electric  recommends now to accept ABB LTD bid of 864 million Pounds, which offers 325
pence per share.  ABB plans to make the acquisition through a scheme of arrangement, requiring

Falcon upgrades Online Industrial UPS  with Internal batteries for 55°C operation
Falcon Electric, Inc, announces equipping its 1.5kVA  to 3kVA SSG series of online 120V and
230V UPS system with an internal battery which allows UPS operations up to 55 degrees C.  The
new batteries, rated at 10 years 25 degrees operation,  combined  with SSG's  ability to shield the
battery from heat, translate to a longer period between UPS maintenance cycles. The SSG
according to Falcon is the only UPS system bearing  UL certification to operate at high
temperatures.

Paradigm Awarded $11 Million Contract for Upgrading Defense Computing Center UPS's.
Paradigm Holdings, Inc a provider of security solutions for Federal Government enterprises,
announced that it has been awarded approximately $11 million for being  a prime contract to
provide UPS Systems and upgrades for the Defense Enterprise Computing Center ("DECC") in St.
Louis, MO., Paradigm will analyze the existing infrastructure in order to design and implement a
new system in accordance with facility standards.
