Chloride Power Presents Continuing Growth in its 2010 Report.
Chloride Power, a leading world UK based UPS manufacturer announced preliminary results of
its 2009/ 2010 operations ended 31, March 2010. The report indicates sales of 336 £ million,
3% increase compared to the previous year. Order Book has increased by 16% to £ 160 million
and operating cash flow by 15%. Operating margin is 13.3% and adjusted Pretext profit to
14.2% of sales, compared to respectable figures of 14.2% and 13.4 % of sales in previous year.

Chloride Introduces Parallel-Redundant Modular UPS System
Chloride North America, launched its new MOD10 Series, online three-phase UPS system
featuring a modular, vertically-scalable rack-mounted three phase 208V UPS flexible 50kVA
and 100kVA frame sizes. The UPS comprises 10 kVA /8kW 2U-size hot swappable modules
which can be added to increase capacity. It features input Power Factor of 0.99, AC to AC
efficiency of 94%, DC to AC efficiency of 97%, 12minute internal batteries, and SNMP/Web/

IBM announces UPS certified for its Power7- based Servers.
IBM unveils the 9910 Line Interactive UPS Model E34 UPS, Providing up to 300VA/ 2,700,
certified to power range of IBM Power -7 based Systems servers. The new 9910-E34 is an
OEM version of the Eaton-Powerware model 5130, and also provides i/OS-specific
communication capabilities. The UPS features 97% efficiency, 2U Rack height, which can be

GE Launches Durathon (TM) UPS Battery which Offers Exceptional Performance.
GE Energy Storage Technologies, a unit of GE Transportation, introduced its Durathon battery
for critical backup power. These sodium metal halide batteries, according to the manufacturer
are fully recyclable, and offer such features as –40°C to +55°C operating range, fifty percent
smaller and 50% less footprint as well1 as 10 times longer cycle life compared to conventional
maintenance free batteries. GE's new battery plant will be located in Schenectady, New York.
GE is making a $150 million investment to build upon the Durathon battery technology through
the development of new materials, new manufacturing technologies and intelligent controls.

UPS Battery Prices Skyrocket in Pakistan
Demand for UPS batteries in Pakistan, driven by temporarily cuts in electricity due to rolling
blackouts, resulting from lack of sufficient power to meet demand or from inadequate
distribution infrastructure, cause battery price inflation. The increase in battery price, according
to Pakistan Daily Times, is partly artificial because a handful of dealers have formed a cartel to
manipulate prices, and partly due to significant increase of row materials cost.

On State Power introduces 2kVA to 4kVA Silent Sentry compact wall mount UPS systems,
including batteries, with a low profile that can be mounted also on or between studs for easy
installation. The UPS is designed to fit tight spaces in places such as high rise buildings, where
having a generator is impossible or undesirable. The powerful systems can run pumps and
motors. A hardwired version has built-in branch circuit breakers for ease of installation.
