Liebert APM online 208V three phase UPS is offered in 45kW and 90kW frames. Each frame is
expandable from single 15kW module up to 3 units or 6 units of 15 kW each, respectively. The
UPS features hot swap modular units, paralleled for capacity or N+1 redundancy;  above 94% for
loads from 50% of  Full load; 12 Languages user friendly LCD display; up to 30 minutes external
batteries and optional external Maintenance ByPass.

Eaton Agrees to Acquire ACTOM’s LTD a LV and UPS Business in South Africa
Eaton announces reaching an agreement to acquire ACTOM (Pty) Ltd.’s low-voltage electrical
business in South Africa. Actom sells $58 million per annum and has two manufacturing facilities  
involved in manufacturing and supplying motor control, electrical distribution and UPS systems.
The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals.

Riello UPS Partners with Vycon to Provide Backup Power with Flywheel Storage Systems.
Riello UPS, power supplies (UPS) has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Vycon, flywheel
energy storage systems manufacturer. The flywheel will complement the traditional lead acid
battery  used in Riello’s range of UPS systems,  by providing VDC power until source of power is
restored – either through the mains, an emergency generator, or extra resilience a battery set.  
According to manufacturer, the flywheel energy storage provides clean, reliable and up to 99.4%
efficient power, with compact footprint and minimal maintenance.

GE Acquires Lineage Power to Boost Expansion in Smartphone and Cloud Computing Fields.
GE Energy announced signing an agreement to acquire for aproximately $520m Lineage Power
company, an energy equipment supplier for datacenters and towers used in cloud computing and
internet mobile services. The deal aims to take advantage of smartphones and wireless networks,
which enable products such as the Amazon Kindle, Apple iPhone and iPad, and Google Android.
In addition, Lineage Power's business platform continues the expansion of GE Energy's offerings
from the electric grid to datacentres, cell towers, routers, servers and circuit board electronics.

Survey Reveals Power Costs of Prime Data Center Professionals Concern.

IT and data centre professionals, concerned with data center challenges reveals that power costs

Facebook Data Center Implements Individual Backup Battery per Server Approach.
Facebook will invest $450 million during next 5 years  in a large new data center facility in North
Carolina. The new data center will use evaporative cooling instead of a chiller system,  re-using
excess heat expelled by servers, to heat office space in the building. The design also forgoes
traditional UPS and power distribution units (PDUs), using Google's approach of implementing  a
12 volt battery in each server technology.

GE Energy Storage invested more than £1.7million funding for expansion of two sites in Burton
UK involved in development of its Durathon sodium metal halide battery. The Durathon battery,
which is able to provide more than 15 years lifetime, enduring the toughest climates from Arctic
cold to desert conditions according to GE,  is  becoming well-known by customers around the
globe as one of the world’s toughest industrial storage batteries.
