Chloride Acquires Malcolm Power Systems to Strengthen presence in Scotland.
Malcolm Power Systems founded in 1986 as a UPS and battery distributor of Chloride’s UPS

C&D Technologies Receives Notice Regarding NYSE Listing
C&D Technologies, a leading producer of UPS and telecommunications Batteries has been notified by
the New York Stock Exchange("NYSE") that it is not in compliance with the NYSE's listing
standards, because its average market capitalization has been less than $75 million over a consecutive
30 trading day period. The Company has 45 days to submit a plan demonstrating how it intends to

Equipment malfunction cited in power failure
Substation equipment malfunction caused one of the biggest non-weather related power failures to
hit Southern California Edison in recent years. More than 268,000 customers in a wide area of
southwest Riverside County were without electricity for up to three hours late Thursday.

Google uncloaks its Server Backup Design.
Google reveals that each of its servers has its own built in 12V battery to protect it from power
outages. This method, according to Google provides 99.9 percent actual usage efficiency. The
efficiency is further improved by using a 12 V power supply, with the necessary conversion taking
place at the motherboard. Thus, increasing efficiency of transmitting power over copper wires at 12
