Dell to Begin Selling UPS systems
Dell announces that it will start selling UPS systems with Dell's trade name. The company will sell 28
products from 500 watts to 5600 watts for rack or tower servers. The devices will be available through
the Dell's UPS Web site, with prices starting at US$269.
The management software monitor battery and systems connected to a UPS. LCD displays on the
boxes show details like actual battery run time and fault codes that make troubleshooting possible
without logging into a console.

Flat UPS market in Europe and North America with possible growth in Asia
C&D Technologies, a major Battery supplier for UPS industry, sees UPS market coming to a plateau
after a dramatic fall compared to last year peak and a small decline in second 20009 quarter. Currently
the large industry in North America and Europe is not promising due to lack of investment in data
centers. Asia, and particularly China and India show growth possibilities, due to increasing energy
needs.

Russian UPS Market, estimating that demand for UPS systems is on the rise, due to rising industrial and
mining applications, and predicted power failures due to old infrastructure, and electricity shortage,
estimated by Ministry of Industry and Energy to be around 6.5-24.0 per cent in terms of maximum
power load across all regional power systems in 2010. Nearly 90 per cent of  UPS systems are installed
in Moscow and St. Petersburg, but smaller cities are upcoming in demand.
